Open Team Training
We provide generic Open Team Training Programmes
for our clients. These are workshop
based, with the emphasis is on furnishing a new or
existing team with the up to date knowledge and
skills required for effective team functioning.
The Open Team Training Program is
flexible, non-confrontational and does not involve the
establishment of any baseline indictor of team
performance. It is a useful way of ensuring that your
team's knowledge and skills are up to scratch without implying that any problem
exists with the team's current performance.
This is ideal for new teams who need some forewarning
of the problems they may run into, how to spot them, and
how to prevent and deal with them. It is also a useful
'heads-up' for established teams, and very useful
training for prospective or current team leaders.
Some elements of the programme are only really
suitable for high level teams with strategic decision
making authority.
At the client's request we can cover some or all
of the following areas:
- Barriers to effective team performance e.g.
groupthink, polarization, conformity.
- Setting team goals and objectives.
- Group problem solving and decision making.
- Creativity and innovation.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Pro-activity and initiative.
- Conflict resolution.
- Team member feedback and development.
- Coaching and support.
- Information sharing and communication.
- The structural and cultural characteristics of
teams.
- Forming and developing an effective team.
- The role of individual differences in the team.
- Team leadership skills.
- Bargaining and negotiation.
- Project Management.
- Risk Analysis and Management.
We can provide any custom combination of the above
topics, and to any depth.
